----

Notable Characters
 * Arnon

----

History
>//It has been centuries since anyone has borne witness to such a creature, but a Werewolf was sighted a few weeks ago by one of my apprentice cartographers near the city of Wildwood.\\
...\\
Gulpax the Crafter has been leading my cartographers on expeditions to other planes, where all manner of creatures have been observed. Is it possible something followed them home from the other side?// - Graylox, Festival of Heroes (GS-ADV1)

----

Affliction
Attacks from Werewolves can be gruesome, leaving victims with permanent scars and as possible inheritors of the curse;

>//A bloody bandage has been wrapped tightly around the left half of her face. She will, no doubt, be left with scars for the rest of her life after the attack. If the wound is infected, she may even turn into a Werewolf herself. // - Festival of Heroes (GS-ADV1)
Transformation
Those who bear the Werewolf's curse begin the painful process of transformation most regularly when the light of the moon makes contact with their skin.

However, exceptional cases of lycanthropy can cause carriers to exhibit symptoms even sooner;

>//Then, he howls in pain as his bones crack and his muscles swell. Hair spreads over his body like a thick moss.//

>//His eyes turn a fiery red, and he bolts upright, grabbing you by the throat.//

>//Dark hairs have already sprouted from his cheeks and forehead. His teeth look as though they were sharpened on a stone wheel.//

>//The man begins to writhe as brown hairs sprout from every pore in his skin. His muscles bulge against the ropes until they finally snap. His jaw stretches painfully, and his teeth make a popping sound as they crack one by one, quickly replaced by fangs as sharp as daggers.// - Festival of Heroes (GS-ADV1)

After periods of stress, exhaustion, or enough time passing, Werewolves will return to their normal forms;

>//The Werewolf staggers back, dazed and licking his wounds as he slowly reverts to his Human form.// - Festival of Heroes (GS-ADV1)

----

Miscellaneous
Even non-sentient creatures and animals can be afflicted by the Werewolf's curse, taking on more feral/lupine characteristics;

>//Though her steed has recovered from his injuries, it appears transformed by the Werewolf attack. His eyes shimmer red, and black hair sprouts from its otherwise silver mane.// - Festival of Heroes (GS-ADV1)
