After a meeting in the seaside tavern[[golden_hope| The Golden Hope]], Captain Giselle and her crew agree to take the king to the [[isle_of_winter|Isle of Winter]].

While on the high seas, she is caught summoning a [[kraken|Kraken]] on orders of the [[starlit_door|Starlit Door]]; her first mate [[julius|Julius]] motions not to intervene:

  * Should you interrupt her ritual, the captain will warn you that the cult will remember this transgression.
  * Should you fight the creature alongside her:
      * And slay it, Giselle will harvest it for its healing properties and thank you for your contribution to her mission.
      * And fail to kill it, the [[emerald_dawn|Emerald Dawn]] will be destroyed and you will be rescued by [[kaemon|Captain Kaemon]], taken aboard the [[iron_tide|Iron Tide]].

Giselle fights [[hana_mercy|Warden Mercy]] and [[vrax|Vrax]], and the [[fungoid|Fungoid]] at her side, in a clearing in [[hoshek|Hoshek, Plane of Life]], at the final battle of [[brizoor_waal|Brizoor Waal]]:

  * If you side with the [[starlit_door|Starlit Door]], you will fight alongside her:
      * If you defeat the opposition and are favored by the [[elf|Elf]], she will greet you heartily. You claim the site, and find a white rune.
      * If you defeat the opposition and are disfavored by the [[elf|Elf]], you will earn her trust and claim the site, finding a white rune.
      * If you fall to the opposition, you stumble through a rift back to [[elsifor_s_tent|Elsifor's Tent]] at [[brizoor_waal|Brizoor Waal]] in defeat.
