Almost immediately after entering the camp, a swarm of [[insectoid|Insectoids]] descend on your party. They are making a beeline for an injured [[insectoid|Insectoid]] bearing an "X" upon its torso.

  * Stand perfectly still, as instructed by [[gulpax|Gulpax]].
  * Defend the injured [[insectoid|Insectoid]].

Sadly, despite your efforts, the [[insectoid|Insectoid]] does not survive.

Shortly after this encounter, you enter the trading post of [[eregrun|Eregrun]]. He offers advice on how you might gain access to the [[hive|Hive]].

[[gulpax|Gulpax]] and [[lomar|Lomar]] part ways with your party as they head to the [[frozen_expanse|Frozen Expanse]]. [[alpha-zero|Alpha-Zero]] will accompany you the rest of your way.
