==== Ascending Kethra's Steppe (GS-ADV4)====
Flanked by [[redtooth_peak|Redtooth Peak]] and [[goldbelly_mountain|Goldbelly Mountain]], you explore many peaceful settings. A small creek emptying into a swimming hole. A field of sunflowers. A cool, shady, peaceful pine grove. Unfortunately, your peace is interrupted multiple times by Wendel.

He appears in a flash, holding a dagger in one hand and the [[lantern_of_wayward_souls|Lantern of Wayward Souls]] in the other. Just as quickly, he disappears, but you know you must claim the lantern from him quickly. - Explorer's Guide (GS-Guide-ADV4-26)

==== Saurian Wasteland (GS-ADV5) ====

You encounter Wendel in the [[saurian wasteland|Saurian Wasteland]]. He has apparently removed the [[severed_ear|ear]] from [[zug|Zug]] and is expecting payment from someone in the area.

After being ambushed by [[pulgor|Pulgor Goodweather]], you are left with three choices:

  * Side with [[pulgor|Pulgor]].
  * Side with Wendel.
  * Stand between them and attempt to make peace.

The [[bugbear|Bugbear]] [[yonlok|Yonlok]] has a chest (along with some other baubles) in his possession that Wendel apparently stole from [[gimnax|Queen Gimnax]]. It has been trapped, making it near impossible to open. [[yonlok|Yonlok]] jokingly asks you to open it for him. - Explorer's Guide (GS-Guide-ADV5-27)
  * Dismantle the traps. You find some gold coins and a scroll bearing [[dorgren|Dorgren's]] name. 
  * Fail at opening the chest. You manage to trigger every trap, encouraging laughter and jeers from the [[bugbear|Bugbear]] party.

==== Arcazion Pit (GS-ADV7)====
The outcome of the encounter in the [[saurian_wasteland|Saurian Wasteland]] will determine Wendel's role in the [[battle_of_the_arcazion_pit|Battle of the Arcazion Pit]]. You may find the need to aid him.

==== The Scrying Pool (GS-Epilogue)====
As a skilled assassin, the fate of Wendel at the [[battle_of_the_arcazion_pit|Battle of the Arcazion Pit]] is filled with uncertainty.

  * Some accounts claim that he met his demise, fighting near the [[dragonhide_heart|Dragonhide heart]].
  * Other accounts state he used his skills to murder, on [[gimnax|Queen Gimnax's]] orders, a number of high-ranking members of her court.
