Bear Trap

A circle of metal teeth, strong enough to trap the leg of the toughest of creatures. Also is known as “Iron Jaws”.

While exploring the ice caverns in the Frozen Expanse, you find the smoldering remains of a camp fire. Someone has clearly been here recently.

Approaching the fire, you inadvertently step on a well hidden trap. Your cries of pain echo through the caverns as the steel teeth imbed themselves into your leg. The injury has left you maimed and will severely slow your party down moving forward.

Once you have freed yourself however, you decide the trap may prove useful as you wander the Frozen Expanse. You add the trap to your inventory. Multiple opportunities will present themselves in the future for you to make use of the trap.

Many of Hortgully's students will incorporate this style of trap in the dungeon designs for their final challenge in Stonespine Mountain.
