Morningside Meadow

Beautiful and peaceful when in full bloom, this meadow is located near two distinct mountain peaks: Goldbelly Mountain and Redtooth Peak.

The meadow is populated with various wildflowers and clover. Gentle breezes flow down across the land causing them to sway. In the middle of a clearing, sits an old, dead apple tree.

Arriving in the meadow, Nayo immediately sets to sketching a new map of the area, identifying the mountains in the distance as Goldbelly Mountain and Redtooth Peak. They both play an important role in finding Kethra's realm.

Using the set of dowsing rods that Nayo gave you, along with Ulrir's splitting maul, you are drawn to the dead tree in the center of the meadow. Making quick work of it with the axe, you encounter a foul, black creature that escapes from the rotting trunk. She leaves her brood behind.

• Set them free.
• Squach them with a branch.

I accidentally brought home a stowaway. A strange creature - like a living pool of blackened pudding - attached itself to my bag. I was able to pour her into a crack in a lovely young apple tree in this meadow. I'm sure she will be happy there. I hope no harm befalls her. - (GS-Journal)
