Vampire Skull

Removed from a Vampire's body, the skull retains much of it's previous owner's powers. The hypnotic powers of the Vampire are retained, so the skull is best stored in a closed container. Staring too long at it could have unwanted consequences.

Outbreak in Undercity (RPA-ADV3)

During an encounter with Yuvan Rokta in an ancient sepulchre, you may feel his hypnotic gaze at work in your mind. He is compelling you to hand over the ashes of the Eldest. If you choose to attack him, you may successfully remove his head from his body. You promptly douse his corpse in oil and set it ablaze. Once all of the skin has been removed and only bones remain, you claim the skull as proof to Commander Zalic that you were successful in defeating the Vampire.

Showing it later to Zalic he shares a dire warning.

“Their bones retain some of their essence, long after death. That skull can still hypnotize. Keep it safe, but do not point it at me again.” - Commander Zalic - Outbreak in Undercity (RPA-ADV3)

Dragons of the Sunken City (RPA-ADV8)

If, instead, Rokta escaped your previous attacks, you will encounter him again on a small island near Cutty's Landing. You have found a shipwrecked vessel in a small bay. There are no survivors but there is a large wooden crate with the symbol of skull emblazoned on it.

Opening the crate, you release Lord Rokta from his slumber. He appears weak, but is quick to leap at you, tackling you to the ground. If you are fortunate, you will remove his head from his body. If you are not, you will be infected from his bite. - Tome of Encounters (RPA-Tome-ADV8-56)
