Dunshab Lakebed
In the northern portion of the Saurian Wasteland, a gentle stream flows from the Boorlin Prairie. It empties into a dry lakebed and then falls through a wide fissure in the ground.
The fissure reveals a large, subterranean lake lying below the surface. The stench of decaying corpses rises from the fissure. Sounds from below indicate the potential of a large creature living in the water.
Along one edge of the fissure, a stone altar has been erected.
History
The land hasn't always been a wasteland. At one time in history, it was rich and fertile, as is evident from the remaining foliage that can seen sporadically throughout the area.
…the Saurians opened a rift to Kleetoth, plane of Crystal. Water flowed into the earth and shot upward into the sky, creating an eternal fog layer above and dry lands below. - Gulpax's Journal (GS-Journal)

Approaching the lakebed, you witness a group of Saurian priests performing some sort of ritual. They appear to have Zug, Nayo's Orc friend, bound and lying on the altar. They are placing a small durgolium box on his chest.

- Attack while they are distracted.
- Observe their behavior further to learn about the ritual.
- Approach them and attempt to join the ceremony.
When all is said and done, you discover that Zug was not a sacrifice after all. He is already dead. Perhaps Nayo was not able to save him from the assassin. His body is quickly deposited in the fissure.
You approach the edge and look down, only to be met by the overwhelming stench of death. In the darkness, you hear the sounds of something large moving through water. - Saurian Wasteland (GS-ADV5)
