When first setting foot on the beach, you hear a couple of rowdy (and drunk) [[halfling|Halflings]] spending a recreational afternoon on its shores:
  * Challenge them to a drink-off:
      * Outperform them and gain their favor.
      * Be drunk under the table and gain their apologies.
  * Challenge them to a sing-off:
      * Outperform their ballad of the [[immortal_knight|Immortal Knight]] and gain their friendship.
      * Be received poorly and be subject to their heckling.
  * Direct them home:
      * Dodge their blows and gain their respect.
      * Be hit and gain a bruise.

They report floating objects on [[long_tooth_island|Long Tooth Island]] and offer you their boat as transportation to it.

If you ask about [[esther_dunegrass|Esther Dunegrass]] or [[giant_troll|Giant Trolls]], they will reply they have spent most of their day under a boat and do not know much about either.

The [[giant_troll|Giant Troll]] cave where [[urka|Urka]] and [[songak|Songak]] have been taking care of [[esther_dunegrass|Esther Dunegrass]] is later found on the north end of the beach.

  * Haggle with it, and come out a little richer.

Two [[saurian|Saurian]] sisters are sitting by the sea discussing their steps to adventure.

  * Convince them to tell their father about their new adventure.
