Flayer

Sentient creatures with purple skin. Their skin color appears to change color to express different levels of emotions. They have large black eyes and tentacles hanging from their faces, giving them an almost squidlike appearance.

Originally believed to be from the Plane of Thought, the Flayers now make their home in the Frozen Expanse. Their immense city can be found in the Arcazion Tunnels.

Shortly before the year 1000, Gulpax was able to negotiate a secret deal with the Flayers, allowing her to create a new laboratory in the Frozen Expanse. In exchange for their help, Gulpax promised to help them return to their own plane.

Flayers were known as “masters of fire and ice”. They possess the ability to melt or freeze water to suit their needs, allowing them to sculpt entire cities from ice.

They are capable of reading minds and launching psychic attacks on those they deem to be a treat. Erasing or alterting memories of their enemy can be a slow and painful process.

The are able to use their psychic abilities to control the actions of other sentient beings.

Alpha-Zero reveals that Gulpax made a secret deal with the Flayers to build her new workshop in the Frozen Expanse.

Dreni, the Kaiika elder, recognizes that the Arcazion Stone in your possession is the work of the Flayers. She also identifies the Arcazion Tunnels as being the location of their underground city.

A member of the tribe, Ksh'al is responsible for the death of Malto, a royal bodyguard.

Flayers are among the many workers helping Gulpax complete her gigantic Colossus. They participate in the battles that rage across its body.
