King's Guard Camp

Encampment set up by General Grik and the King's Guard in Bogroot Swamp. The Demon Elsifor tests the mettle and survivability of the King's Guard who had come to search the area, pitting them against a beast from Iktel, Plane of Frost.

The King's Guard camp is an eerie sight. The Orcish General Grik and his soldiers stand, staring skyward, all fixed in place. The form of a gigantic wyrm made of ice towers over Grik and his soldiers. It, too, is frozen in place. - Bogroot Demon (RPA-ADV6)

If you visit the King's Guard Camp before the Abandoned Market, you are met by the forces of Nalos locked in combat with an ice wyrm upon arrival, both sides frozen still for dramatic effect by the Demon Elsifor;

“I thought it would be best to hold them in place until you got here.” - Elsifor, Bogroot Demon (RPA-ADV6)

The shadow snaps his fingers. Instantly, the whole camp comes to life and scrambles to defend themselves as the ice wyrm opens its face, revealing a cavernous maw full of jagged fangs. - Bogroot Demon (RPA-ADV6)

To complicate your choice, you find the weapon of the Immortal Knight, the Immortal Blade, embedded in a nearby stump;

Elsifor floats across the camp to a sword with a red metal hilt lodged firmly into a root stump…It is the sword of the Immortal Knight, a sacred treasure to Nalos and a fine blade, as well. - Bogroot Demon (RPA-ADV6)

• Come to the aid of General Grik and the King's Guard:
  • Slay the monstrosity, and see the soldiers off to the Abandoned Lands, unknowing of your alleged crimes.
  • Watch as the King's Guard are slain.
• Go to the Immortal Blade and attempt to lift the sword:
  • Walk away with the weapon as Grik and the King's Guard are eliminated.
  • Be caught in the act and called to battle:
    • Slay the monstrosity, and see the soldiers off to the Abandoned Lands, unknowing of your alleged crimes.
    • Watch as the King's Guard are slain.
