Song of the Immortal Knight
When she broke the veil and forged our world
Azema’s flame lit torches three
The crimson blade and plate and helm
To warm our hearts immortally
These three were claimed by one so brave
To climb the pyre of her bones
And pledge forever after that
Allegiance to the crown of Nalos
Oh Nalos, oh Nalos
Is her flame still burning bright
In the helm and plate and blade
Of your immortal knight
Ten Tasks for You, Who Should See Azema's Return
Poem by Bertram Hoogna, Esq.
Circle a lake of blood and ash
Find a girl where two are one
Purge a fever, be not rash
Enter the palace all undone
Seek your freedom from a tomb
Rid a tree of vile ghost
Make a path where spirits bloom
His ring to whom you love the most
Ride a giant through the veil
And find our Knight Immortal
With blazing helm and sword step forth
To draw Azema from her portal
The Immortal Knight's Journey
A book, written by Tarik Nowlin, details a number of Sir Faris's incredible adventures. It documents his many travels, including his quest to travel through rifts to collect powerful artifacts. That journey eventually led him to the Colosseum of Ashes. - Deathmatch at the Colosseum of Ashes (RPA-SQ1)
Earning the rank of champion, the Immortal Knight was offered his freedom by the Grandmaster of Games. Refusing, he demanded liberty for all combatants. Amused by this request, the Grandmaster agreed to release one gladiator of the Immortal Knight's choosing. It was through this means that King Taron was freed. After many more years in the colosseum, the Immortal Knight followed his lord back to Ulos. He found, to his dismay, that King Taron had built an arena of his own, subjecting combatants to the same cruelty he had witnessed in the Colosseum of Ashes.

It is alluded that the Immortal Knight is not a single being but a mantle passed across multiple individuals when a projection from a control collar appears to malfunction:
Something seems to go wrong with the projected image of the Immortal Knight. At first it flickers in and out of existence, but then the Immortal Knight’s form appears to change. In rapid succession, he cycles through a variety of bodies: a female Orc, a male Elf, and many others. The only thing that remains constant is the bright red armor. - Deathmatch at the Colosseum of Ashes (RPA-SQ1)

Not everyone agrees with the honor bestowed upon the Immortal Knight title.
“Why is it that those who don the armor always seek to honor the legacy of the Immortal Knight? Why not use its power for other purposes? Are they simply inspired, or is there something deeper at work?” - Eklar - The Scrying Pool (GS-Epilogue)
