As Gulpax's first automaton design, Alpha-Zero's form has been known to freeze up;

The Construct pulls her hand back as if she were about to throw a punch, but then you hear the loud screech of metal gears turning inside her. She stiffens, seemingly unable to move. - Servants of Azema (GS-ADV2)

Gulpax reassures her that a more lasting model is being prepared;

Gulpax and Alpha-Zero pack up their wagon and are preparing for a journey.

You join Gulpax, Alpha-Zero, and Lomar as they travel to the the Insectoid camp. Alpha-Zero requires repairs so the party stops in Ty Farzan.

Once repairs are complete, Gulpax parts ways with the party, leaving Alpha-Zero to keep you safe. She offers aid in a number of ways, from advice to use of force when necessary.

Unfortunately, she takes heavy damage and requires repairs. Searching her satchel, you find Gulpax's journal.
