Gulpax's notes are found throughout the defunct colossus;

In her journal, Gulpax writes of building this Colossus, its sentries, and then the Construct race. She tells of unearthing several artifacts from other planes to power the sentries and to guide the Colossus on voyages across the planarverse.

Several entries mention the Immortal Knight of Nalos, who was at first concerned by Gulpax’s experiments but was eventually persuaded to join her expeditions.

There are several torn-out pages in the back of the journal where Gulpax apparently crafted spells. A few examples of her spellcrafting remain. - Gurlung Colossus (RPA-ADV9)

“These were here in a chest with the journal Gulpax the Crafter kept as she made the first Constructs. It says Gulpax abducted a male Human in white robes and brought him here to study. She wanted our bodies to be just like his. So you see, my dream wasn’t exactly right, but it wasn’t exactly wrong either. How can that be?” - B-143, Gurlung Colossus (RPA-ADV9)

Inside a chest marked by the Starlit Door in the Champion's Quarters of the Colosseum of Ashes is a catalog written by Gulpax herself;

To your surprise, the lock on the wooden chest snaps open the second you touch it. Inside you discover a collection of small, leather-bound books. One volume, entitled The Selected Lyric of Gulpax the Crafter, catches your eye.

Several interesting predictions are made in the text. One passage anticipates that a noblewoman, born at Castle Carleval, will spell trouble for the Starlit Door. Peril can only be avoided if she is placed under a curse that “removes her Human form.” In another passage, Gulpax discusses at length “the one they will call the King’s Assassin.” This figure plays a central role throughout the text.

The book contains a great deal of information and is written beautifully. It leaves you feeling inspired. - Deathmatch at the Colosseum of Ashes (RPA-SQ1)

The Immortal Knight Imbri reports that Gulpax is not above “performing research” on the reanimated;

“Gulpax the Crafter has been experimenting on the undead and the cryptkeeper refuses to cleanse the catacombs of zombies.” - Imbri, Festival of Heroes (GS-ADV1)

In her Treetop Village workshop outside Sabek, Gulpax reveals the intent behind the experiments she is conducting with the Undead;

“My goal is to replace organic limbs with ones from a Construct,” the Gnome explains. “The connection to the brain, that’s the trick. I can’t experiment on living beings, of course, so I use the undead. But if I can make it work, soldiers who lost a limb in battle could soon have a metal replacement. She also explains she will be moving shop;

“As far as anyone knows, the experiment has ended. I’m relocating to a new workshop anyway. Somewhere far away from the queen’s prying eyes.” - Servants of Azema (GS-ADV2)

Gulpax is an ex-lover of Queen Gimnax, but wanted nothing to do with the celebrity status that came with it;

“I was the queen’s consort, for a time. It changed how people looked at me. I didn’t care for that. Or for any of the politics of power.”

“I think she still cares, she may even still love me, but I do not have her trust. She thinks I’m plotting against her, but I just want to be left alone.” - Servants of Azema (GS-ADV2)
