The King's Guard is divided into multiple branches and specializations:

• Reconnaissance - General order across the many cities, towns, and lands
• Palace Guard - Elite unit in the capital city of Sabek, known as the best-trained fighters in Nalos
  • Hemgah - Orc palace guard with eyes for Smyrnik
  • Smyrnik - Vargar palace guard put off by Hemgah's romantic interest

The Dragul see the King's Guard as an extension of Nalos that stole their artifacts; the two parties are in direct contention, having fought against each other in The Great War for 20 years.

In truth, it is the Starlit Door that had taken the items;
