Elsifor
A seven-foot tall, horned Demon entrapped by the Starlit Door within the Giant Mangrove tree of Bogroot Swamp. Brother to Ezrat. Loves moral dilemmas and pitting individuals against their better judgment. He later returns for the final battle at Brizoor Waal, curious to see how the events will unfold.
“Well deciphered. Not many of the frog people are able to read as well as you.” - Bogroot Demon (RPA-ADV6)
A favorite treat of Elsifor's is raw basilisk egg. He has a soft spot for ice wyrms.
“Honestly, it’s a bit sad for me to see an ice wyrm treated that way. Don’t ask me why I love them so much. I suppose it’s the purity of their consciousness. Kill warm bodies. That’s all they want to do.” - Gate of Brizoor Waal (RPA-ADVF)
Personality
It is seen that Elsifor is interested in mortals not because of empathy but because he enjoys seeing them agonize over heavy decisions.
At the same time, Elsifor appears to have some faith in them as well, believing they should sleep in the proverbial beds they make and have the potential to improve.
“My sister and I have a longstanding disagreement. She wants to rule the mortals. I think they should be free to make their own choices.” - Backstory Codex - Haunted (RPA-BC)
Elsifor enjoys placing friendly bets;

Bogroot Demon (RPA-ADV6)
“I’m afraid I’ve been bound to this tree by some horrible spell. I can’t go anywhere the tree doesn’t go, and so I’ve been passing the time by getting to know the locals. Anything you can do to liberate me would be appreciated.” - Bogroot Demon (RPA-ADV6)
Elsifor is reported to plague many of the citizens of Sandhill Village, including a priest at the temple of Buurglap and Frogkin villager Tadlind specifically.
Bound to the mangrove, Elsifor is still able to float throughout the swamp as he pleases, but longs for his freedom to explore Ulos fully as he once did and torment more souls.
The Demon dropped an ice wyrm from Iktel, Plane of Frost, to the King's Guard Camp in Bogroot Swamp just for fun, and played another deadly trick on the King's Guard soldiers at the Abandoned Market.
Elsifor is also in the business of “self-discovery”, opening and running a store called Elsifor's Personality Shoppe, peddling various personality traits as wares there.
Pouring the Potion of Purification on the Giant Mangrove dispels the Starlit Door's seal and releases Elsifor, whereupon he either disappears of his own accord testing your capacity for debilitating choices or vanquished in combat.
Ghost-Eaters of the Forgotten Forest (RPA-ADV7)
Elsifor appears again in the Forgotten Forest to unleash some demons from your past upon you:
- Fend off the ghosts of Commander Zalic, General Grik, and Warden Mercy if you had a hand in their deaths.
- Fall to your fallen former comrades.
He lists off in the forest after the fight;
“I look forward to seeing you on the battlefield at Brizoor Waal.” - Tome of Encounters (RPA-ADV7)
Gate of Brizoor Waal (RPA-ADVF)
Elsifor sits comfortably atop a hill in his magical tent to observe the events that transpire between the three factions - the King's Guard, the Dragul, and the Starlit Door - at Brizoor Waal;
You prepare yourself to charge down the hill to war but are surprised by the sudden appearance of a colorful tent and the smell of incense. A familiar shadow rises within and welcomes you. - Gate of Brizoor Waal (RPA-ADVF)
He keeps score based on the victories within each plane on his abacus.
“Honestly, though, I don’t care who wins. I just like to see what people do in all this chaos.”
Elsifor produces a three-bar abacus with six beads on each row. “I count six rifts, and three armies,” he tells you. “I’ll be here, watching the battle with interest and keeping score. - Gate of Brizoor Waal (RPA-ADVF)
