Kulbak Prison
Large penitentiary of apprehended criminals in Nalos and captured Dragul soldiers.
On your arrival at Kulbak, a dozen Construct guards march you into a multi-floor cell block packed with Dragul prisoners. Gnolls, Kobolds, and Insectoids lean over railings to watch as the guards take your belongings and put you in an itchy gray uniform. You receive insults and threats from the tiers above. - Eye of Ulos (RPA-ADV4)
To keep the convicts occupied, Kulbak Prison employs them to work;
“We provide every prisoner at Kulbak with a bed and a warm meal. In exchange, we expect an honest day’s labor.“ - Hana Mercy, Crack in Kulbak (RPA-ADV5)
Inmates are outfitted with anklets upon arrival at the prison, as learned from meeting an escaped Insectoid in Undercity;
The iron anklet he wears bears the mark of Kulbak Prison. - Tome of Encounters (RPA-ADV3)
All prisoners are also marked by the sign of the prison – crossed keys;
The Construct guards of Kulbak have been known to leave the prison and chase down escaped convicts;

Gangs
Almost everyone detained here is a Dragul prisoner of war. - Crack in Kulbak (RPA-ADV5)
Rival groups of prisoners have banded together within Kulbak's walls, offering its members protection and asserting dominance over others. Most of the gangs are based on military units that fought for the Dragul during the Dragul Invasion.
Blackwing Raiders - Kobolds Served under Grindel the Black, torching Orc and Human villages. Here they gather resources to summon another Great Dragon and burn Kulbak Prison to the ground.
Blood Alchemists - Hobgoblins
Tallclaw Assassins - Bugbears Proudly delivered the heads of Elvish nobility to the Demon General Murbik. They now conspire to claim the head of the warden of Kulbak Prison.
Siege Breakers - Gnolls This elite unit broke into the toughest Dwarven strongholds during the war. Now they improvise gear to breach the walls of Kulbak Prison. Their leader is named Kur the Red. They ransacked a monastery.
The Fighting 87th - Goblins Surviving members of the 87th battalion of Goblin soldiers. They amuse themselves by pitting factions against each other, building tensions to spark a riot. Their leader is Vrax.
Hagron's Hardbacks - Insectoids Their motto during the war: “The best soldiers are born in their armor.” Their motto now: “Dig silently. Kill anyone who learns of the tunnel.”
Tobak's Gang - Dwarves Led by the wild-haired Dwarf Tobak.
Recreation
The inmates have access to an exercise yard where many fights between rival gangs break out.
A few games are played within the prison as well:
- Goblin Vaults - a card game played by Goblins
Goblin Vaults is a game of gambling and bluffing, but above all cheating. The best players are known to have perfected the art of palming cards and manipulating outcomes. - Crack in Kulbak (RPA-ADV5)

Archives
A large number of bookcases and boxes filled with rolled parchment have been crammed into a rather small room. On a table in the back, there is a small block of marble. - Crack in Kulbak (RPA-ADV5)
A headless Construct guard begins to strangle Gundur upon settling in:
- Fight it down:
- You skillfully dodge and it takes care of itself.
- It turns on you instead and Gundur comes to your rescue.
- Deactivate it another way:
- You trip it into a bookcase and it falls immobilized.
- You resort to wrestling it down.
You discover there is an entrance to the underground catacombs in the Cell Block.
Catacombs
You follow a crumbling stone staircase down to an old prisoner’s tomb. Gundur follows you, wiping the dust from the plaques that line the walls and reading off the names of the dead. - Crack in Kulbak (RPA-ADV5)
You find the crypt of Khathandor:
- Let him rest.
- Awaken the spirit of Khathandor and steal his horn, receiving his curse.
Chow Hall
You've arrived at mealtime, and the chow hall is a bustle of activity. Dragul prisoners eat and converse at tables. - Crack in Kulbak (RPA-ADV5)
Just arrived, you unintentionally provoke a Gnoll inmate:
- Attempt to avoid conflict by talking her down:
- Succeed, and she walks away.
- Fail, and it devolves into a fight.
- Assert dominance and communicate who is in charge:
- Succeed, and earn the respect of the prisoners.
- Fail, and be ridiculed by your spectators.
Exercise Yard
You meet the Goblin Vrax and her gang at a table:
- Win her over and concoct a plan to start an insurrection, with the potion of strength as your weapon.
- Do not falter in your loyalty to Nalos and the meeting devolves into an altercation.
Smithy
A dozen Dragul prisoners tend to the forge and strike at metal over anvils, shaping hot iron into swords while guards keep watch. The heat from the forge is overwhelming. - Crack in Kulbak (RPA-ADV5)
If you take Vrax's potion of strength here, you will tear down the door holding the weapons of the prison, and the inmates will arm themselves for a large scale riot;
You effortlessly rip the iron gate from its hinges and the Dragul pour into the armory to grab whatever weapons they can. - Crack in Kulbak (RPA-ADV5)
- If you prove your loyalty to the King's Guard and provide Warden Mercy with the potion of strength and information about the Dragul plot, the insurrection will be put down easily.
- If you aid the Dragul in their escape, you will descend further into disparagement with the crown.

Cast Off
You find a volume written by Azariah Blackwater cataloguing his disturbing experiments on the shelf in the prison library, Gundur the Goblin accompanying you.
Chronologist
You encounter Santor at the Smithy in Kulbak, working the forge:
- Attempt to talk him into pursuing a better path by relaying details about his life.
- Attempt to take his life by bumping molten metal onto him so he cannot harm anyone else.
You then find a Kobold who has partially repaired your chronometer.
Culpable
A Construct guard making his rounds in the Chow Hall appears to have pocketed your brother's crystal, thinking it valuable:
- Talk the guard's ear off until he relents and gives you the crystal back.
- Loot the guard easily.
Devoted
In the Smithy you acquire hairs from a Satyr inmate, either by negotiation or force.
Rift Walker
in the alternate time line you find yourself in the smithy but the Dragul are the prison guards.
- You can tell the slaves about the other time line and hopefully start a rebellion.
- Or you can have the Dragul refresh the magic in your tattoo.
Unhinged
One of the guards you have dreamed about delivering illegal letters from the prisoners' to a Frogkin messenger. In your dream the Frogkin is murdered while trying to delver the letters.
- Tell the warden what the guard is doing in attempt to save the Frogkin's life.
- Tell the guard what will happen if he delivers those letters
